Michael Mayock is a trial attorney in Pasadena, California practicing primarily in the areas of criminal defense and appellate work. He has handled well over 100 jury trials and has argued and won cases in both the United States and California Supreme Courts. [Walter v. United States, 447 U. S. 649 (1980); People v. Glaze, 27 Cal.3d 841 (1980)].

In 1967 he received his B. A. degree from the University of Southern California and in 1972 his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he was Articles Editor for the Law Review. Before private practice, Mr. Mayock clerked for U. S. District Judge David W. Williams in the Central District of California and was an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles.

He has work on almost every kind of criminal case imaginable. He has represented a wide array of clients, including actor Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams), the Counsel General of Turkey, people in the adult film industry, members of Greenpeace, a defendant in a five-month Mexican Mafia trial, an alleged terrorist bomber and the accused in the Dian Fossey murder case, which became the subject of the film, "Gorillas in the Mist." He recently represented Domino Harvey, on whose life the film "Domino" was based. A film is in the works about the life and trial of Billy Cottrell whom he defended against federal arson charges, but was precluded from raising an Asperger's Syndrome defense.
